Children's eye care

As a child grows up, their eyes have an important and demanding job. They are constantly working, when your child is studying at school and at home, playing and taking in new things.

1 in 5 school aged children have undetected vision problems which hinder their learning.
By the age of 12 visual learning accounts for 80% of the total learning process!
Apart from correcting short sight and long sight, both eyes should also coordinate as a team, track print across a page without losing their place and be able to adjust their focus when looking from far to near and vice versa.

Young eyes are more fragile and more vulnerable to:

UV LIGHT - children receive up to 3 times more sun exposure than adults. UV light is as dangerous for the eyes as it is for the skin, increasing the risk of developing eye patholgies later in life.

TRAUMATIC EYE INJURIES - their eyes are fragile and can be put at risk from knocks and tumbles when playing or taking part in sports without eye protection.

They are clear indoors, and outdoors they automatically darken to adjust to light variations throughout the day.
